As a result of reading Mr. Volz's story , my partner and I have deicided to sell a lot that we purchased in 2010 in San Juan del Sur. Mr. Volz's story was moving, riveting and disturbing. Reading his stry and the more recnt story ofJason Puracal and he two belgium citizens also arrested with no evidence is much more than a cautionary tale.....it almost sounds as if the Nicaraguan goverment is regressing and returning to a child like state , taunting govenments who the oligarchy in power , decide to arbitrarily arresta and then conducting sham show trials to bribe and extort money from the families who try to free their relatives from these horrible stuation.

Afer reading Erics story, I was reminded when leaving Nicaragua 2 years ago, abou my own experience being selected for 25 minutes of questioning by an undercover police officer who became suspiicious of me because I had a small carry on piece of luggage.....go figure......

I hope more Amerians who are considering investing in Nicaragua, think 2x about Nicaragua as a retirement place if nothing else for moral reasons. Eric Volz's story is an amazing testament to the strength of the human spirit.
